Selecting the appropriate starlight kit largely comes down to personal preference regarding how dense you’d like the effect to appear. While any vehicle can technically be fitted with any of our kits, the number of fibers will influence the overall visual intensity.
As a general guideline:
- Single Cab: 300–400 fibers
- Extra/Dual Cab: 400–600 fibers
- Wagons: 600–800 fibers
That said, some customers prefer a more subtle look in larger vehicles or a more intense effect in smaller ones—it's all about the aesthetic you're after.
Important Note:
Our starlight kits require a hard, removable headliner for installation. Vehicles with vinyl headliners (such as early-model LandCruiser 80 Series or GQ Patrols) are not compatible unless a hard headliner can be sourced and fitted.
