The NEXTGEN Starlight Kit builds on Bushbash's original starlight kits, redesigned around a modular format based on feedback from previous installs. The change to a modular format cuts install time and difficulty, allow for higher star counts, make the projector units easier to conceal than the original's bulkier boxes, and open up a range of animations and effects not previously possible.

One of the standout features is flowing light mode, which creates a scene that transitions smoothly into a gradient. Three individual colour stages can be controlled to build whatever scene you desire, and with 15 light stages in total, the gradient runs smoothly across the entire roof.

Traditional kits used bulky fibre bundles that tangled easily and had to be manually counted for even distribution, in some cases up to 1000 individual fibres. NEXTGEN kits come with all fibres pre-terminated into organised groups sized to the kit ordered, making it the most convenient starlight kit to install available in Australia.

The kit also includes Welcome Mode: when wired through the vehicle's accessories circuit, the starlights power on automatically with the car via a smooth animation.

• What You'll Need For Install1. Side cutters or fibre optic snips (available for purchase from MAKS), 2. Hot glue gun, 3. Zip ties (cable organisation), 4. Pen or marker (for marking hole positions), 5. 0.5–1mm drill bit, pin, or needle (for pricking fibre holes), 6. Drill or Dremel (if using a drill bit), 7. Hot Glue Gun + Glue.
• Installation ProcessRemove headliner from vehicle, 2. Complete headliner modifications first (fabric wrapping, dyeing, or spray painting — all compatible), 3. Measure and mark headliner into 15 equal horizontal sections (matches the 15 light stages; 2250–3000 kits have two outputs per section), 4. Mark fibre hole positions with a pen (hole count varies by kit — check your kit's spec), 5. Drill or pin out the marked holes, 6. Insert fibres output by output (zip-tie as you go to keep it organised), 7. Glue each fibre with a pea-sized dab of hot glue, 8. Repeat steps 4–7 for shooting stars (wire in sequence with the motor), 9. Snip fibres flush to the headliner (or flush to fabric once untensioned), 10. Wire 12V DC power to the motor through a fuse tap suited to your vehicle, 11. Reinstall the headliner.
• Smartphone Bluetooth ConnectionOnce your NEXTGEN Starlight System is ready to power on, you can connect to the control unit using the MT Starlight Control app. This app is available on the App Store and Google Play. Power on the unit, search for your control unit, and connect.

Please ensure installation is carried out carefully and according to our guidelines to avoid voiding your warranty.
